Ally huffs slightly as she walks into the bedroom, throwing her phone down on the dresser she pauses and turns her ankle over with a small flinch before she crawls into the bed and rests her head against the pillow with a light yawn, her back turned to the door as she keeps turning her ankle over whilst lying there.
Tyson walks out of the bathroom, towel around his waist and another towel wrapped up on his head. "What's all the racket? First I wake up to you talking about my penis on Twitter and now your throwing stuff around in the bedroom while I shower. You okay babe?" She rolls half over to look up at him "I wasn't throwing stuff I tossed my phone down is all..." she screws up her forehead and sighs "And talking complimentarily about your penis blew up in my face." She holds a hand up "Leave that joke alone." She rolls back over with another sigh and turns her ankle again, flinching a little again.
He walks over to her side of the bed and sits near her. "I wasn't mad, I was trying to joke with you." He places a hand on her shoulder and rubs it. "But I can see you're not in a joking mood. How bad does it hurt?" She frowns and turns her cheek slightly to touch his hand "More than it should..." another sigh escapes her mouth and she rolls onto her back, pulling her leg up she turns her ankle, as she does it loudly cracks and the muscles in her calf over extend as they tense, she gasps in a breath before looking up at him "It's not right..."
Tyson sighs. "And you know exactly why it's not... I'm not going to sugarcoat it for you babe. You came back too early and too hard." He takes ahold of her hand. "You can't beat your body they way you did and then rush back out here and not expect more issues." He takes her hand and rubs it along the small incision scar on his shoulder. "Trust me I know first hand." She nods slightly "I fucking hate this..." she sits up slightly to lean over and kiss her lips across the scar before turning her head to look into his eyes "I can't afford to be hurt right now, we don't even have a job in a months time, we're planning a wedding...." she rests her chin on his shoulder and lets out a soft, sad sound "It hurts so much I actually considered putting the boot back on until the match with adrien..."
He wraps his arms around her. "Maybe just around the house? A little extra stability and support for you?" He smiles. "Plus don't worry about work. We have money saved away even with the wedding." She groans lightly "Fine fine, around the house... but only the pink one..." she smiles a little at him, running her hand down his arm, holding onto him slightly, obviously more concerned than she's letting on "I can't train... Everytime it rolls it feels like it's going to snap..." she bites her bottom lip and shakes her head "It'll be fine, it's just one more match, I'll just... avoid anything too focused on my ankle."
Tyson shakes his head. "You can focus on an upper body workout then. Like I did with my shoulder, just flipped." He smiles. "Help compensate for the ankle feeling off." She nods slightly and turns her head to press her lips close to his ear, not really wanting to say it out loud, she whispers into his ear "What if I can't do it?" Her hand grips his arm tightly as she presses against him, her breathing a little labored. "One thing I know about you Ally..." He turns and faces her. "You can do anything." She smiles softly and leans her forehead against his with a sigh "Stop always having the perfect thing to say, falling in love with you so hard all the time I'm gonna start getting bruises!"
He smirks. "Isn't that why you do extreme matches? You don't mind a few bruises here and there?" He playfully bites at the air between them. She giggles and kisses the tip of his nose "Didn't you make me promise not to do those anymore?" She nods down at her ankle "That's a big fat you told me so right there..." she frowns again and lies back against the bed with a thump "If I wear the boot, you think I'll be okay for Super Cockache?"
"It'll help for sure. We will rest it, keep it elevated and get you some work in the pool." He smiles. "You'll be kicking ass and drawing blood in no time." He playfully bumps her. She turns her head to smile up at him, her hand reaching out to trail her fingers down his arm once more "You really believe I can do anything, huh?"
"Of course I do..." he smiles. "When you put your mind to something, you just have to get out of your way and let you do it." He chuckles She rolls her eyes at him playfully "Is that you being deep again baby?" She grips his arm now, squeezing it slightly as she sucks in a breath "I just... I don't ever want to let you down..."
"You never have..." he leans in and kisses her lips softly. "And you never will okay? So there is no need to sit here and worry about things that won't ever happen." She smiles and places the hand on the back of his neck, pulling him, in for another kiss "Sorry I've kinda been Debbie downer with the jokes lately, I guess..." she lets go and sighs "I kinda maybe thought that if you knew how bad it was..." she bites her bottom lip and looks away "If you knew that I was struggling, if I failed out there against Adrien... you wouldn't look at me the same anymore..."
He laughs. "You mean that you'd actually be human?" He takes her hand. "You don't need to be Super Ally the Ass Kicker around me baby. I love you for you, not who you beat, what your record is or any of that." He smiles warmly. "I love you for what's in here..." he presses his finger against the side of her head. "...And what's in here." And points to her heart.
She looks back up at him and meets his eyes, staying quiet for a moment before nodding "I guess I'm just still not used to it being okay to be... less than perfect." She arches a brow before falling into a smile, looking into his eyes "I've never felt so safe or loved as I do with you and sometimes I'm just so fucking scared of losing that, I forget that it's okay to be vulnerable sometimes."
He smiles. "You're never less than perfect with me baby." He brushes back some of her hair behind her ear. "You are my Ally... And you will never not be perfect to me." She reaches up to pull him down to her by his shoulders, kissing him softly she smiles against his lips with a content sigh "I love you Tyson Gregory and I can't wait to marry you." His eyes lock with hers. "I love you Allyson."
Ally leans on the side of the counter with a sigh, her ankle clipped into the boot that covers up to her knee and down to her toes, she sighs sadly and turns to fully lean on the counter with a sigh. Her eyes move to watch Tyson who is pouring out some juice. "Ugh!" He turns to her, his eyes widened. "What's up?" She half smiles at him and shrugs "I just hate this stupid thing and the physio is all, stay off your ankle like that's even possible..." she sighs and shakes her head "I don't wanna say maybe I gotta take time off but..."
He sighs and walks over to her, half leaning against her. "You sure this isn't the injury talking? I know it tossed doubt in my head when I busted up my shoulder..." his words are soft. She looks up at him with a small frown "I don't know, I've never really gotten hurt before, I'm just worried that if I jump into another company and can't keep up..." she looks down at the boot with a small frown "I don't know what to do."
He places his hand against her cheek and looks into her eyes. "If you need time, take the time. But only if you need it." He shakes his head. "No more than what you need... Not think you need." She nods and turns her face to his hand, leaning into it with a small smile "I don't want to take any time off Ty, I want to find work, get back out there and keep pushing." She shrugs some "If that means wearing the boot on my off days and doubling up physio then that's what I'll do..." she pulls a chip from her pocket and places it on the counter "Five months... and I remember how hard day one was... week one... fuck even month one..." she looks back up at him with a bigger smile "But you pulled me through, you always pull me through."
"And I will be here to pull you through this too." He smiles at her. "First real injuries are scary. They put you in a spot where everything you do feels like you're just digging your hole deeper. But you have me to lean on and I'm a nice post to have." He lightly chuckles. She dances her fingers down his chest with a nod "Oh, you are definitely nice to lean on... among other things..." she leans up and kisses him softly, wrapping her arms around his waist and leaning into him "We have come so far baby.."
"But we do have a ways to go still." He shrugs. "We are both going to be unemployed after this weekend." She groans lightly and leans back, using the counter to hold herself up some off her ankle "I know... I've been trying not to think about it but..." she frowns and looks down with a shake of her head "What if my rep hurts us? I mean... If you got a job opportunity that didn't like my 'style' I'd understand you taking it..."
He shakes his head. "You're a lot more marketable than you give yourself credit for. A smoking hot asskicker? Come on, that's not a dime a dozen." He chuckles. "You're my meal ticket." She looks up and shakes her head "That manager chick sure didn't seem to think I was marketable... my penchant for bloodshed doesn't seem to be a plus to most employers these days and..." she turns to fully lean on the counter with a sad sigh "I can't go back to what I was..."
"Well that manager chick also shows her ass to attract clients so I don't think her opinion is the best?" Tyson nods his head and smiles. "But as far as what you were? No you have evolved." She places her head down on the counter with a sigh "I was a joke, a fucking joke... And some people, I think they still see me that way." She leans into the counter, keeping her forehead pressed against it. "I know I like to tell the world how I don't care but, that's not true... I've fought hard to be where I am, to be here at all, alive. Well. Sober..." she inhales slowly "I don't want any of it to go away..."
"It's not going to babe." He rubs her back. "Have this match with Cochrane, see how you feel okay? That's all we can do right now. You let me find us a new company to call home." She nods against the counter with another sigh "Okay..." she reaches out and grabs his hand, squeezing it harder than she normally would as her voice hitches in her throat "You're not going to go away? You promise?"
"Where would I go babe?" He laughs. "You're my life and I can't live without you. That would be like asking a fish to leave water." She pulls up and wraps her arms around him, squeezing him in an embrace as she buries her face into his chest and sighs quietly, clinging to him as her whole body leans into his.
"So yeah, don't you worry about me going anywhere. I'm your leaning post." He softly chuckles. She nods again and pulls back just enough to look up at him with a small smile "I love you, I can't wait to marry you..." she squeezes him again with a happy noise "Being your wife is going to be the greatest thing I have ever and will ever achieve in my entire life."
He can't help but grin. "You know you taking my name is like I won right?" He bites at his bottom lip with a smirk. She giggles and rolls her eyes at him "Then congratulations because being Allyson Grace Gregory is going to make me happier than any title win, accolade of match win ever could..." she lets go around his waist and steps back, tripping slightly with the boot she catches his arm to steady herself "Fuck!"
He swoops her up in his arms and holds her there. "Still falling for me after all this time?" He says with a smile. She rolls her eyes at him with a laugh "Why is it that line never gets old when it's coming from you?"
"Cause I'm Tyson fuckin' Gregory?" He kisses her softly before bringing her back to her feet. She pulls him back to her for another kiss and smiles, sighing against his lips she half closes her eyes "Whatever I did right in my life to deserve you, I wish I'd done it sooner..." He shakes his head. "No, we found each other at the perfect moments in our lives. We could have met sooner but we wouldn't have been able to really cherish what we have together." He smiles again.
She smiles and exhales happily "How do you always know exactly what to say to put all my nerves at ease...?" Her hands slide down to his chest and she grips his shirt, a bigger smile crossing her lips. "It's like you see deep into my soul and know exactly how to whisper to it."
"I just say what's on my mind, gorgeous." He laughs slightly. "It's just what you need to hear because you are what I need in my life." She pulls him closer via her grip on his shirt and leans up close to his lips, using her body against his to balance herself "And you're what I need in mine, you're my kind of perfect Tyson Gregory..."
"Good thing I snatched you up when I did then huh?" He smiles. "I love when things that you want, are the things that are meant to be." She bites her bottom lip and meets his eyes, a small blush coloring her cheeks as she half whispers the words "I knew that I loved you long before I ever met you..." she kisses him softly and shakes her head, pulling back just a tiny bit "My heart just took a minute to find yours."
"Well good thing it found me when it did..." he smiles. "It was aching for yours for so long." A tear trickles down her cheek and she lets out a quick, light laugh, staring up into his eyes "And now your heart will never ever be without mine... I promise."
Andersons is mostly empty aside from a few early starters hitting the weights, towards the back of the facility, with a mat laid out beneath her, Ally works over a punching bag, heavy thumps echoing through the gym, after a few punches she steps back and goes for a couple of steady straight kicks, she rolls back on her ankle, no longer in the boot and makes for a heel kick, on the spin her ankle turns over and she hits the mats with a yelp.
“FUCK!” lying on her back she slams her hands down on the mat either side of her. “Well that was stupid.” She looks over to see Josh Anderson standing there in shorts and a white shirt, coffee in hand. He takes a sip from the cup. “If your ankle is hurting that much why do the heel kick?” She looks up at him with a grunt “Mind over matter.” pushing up she holds her leg out and rotates her ankle with a huff. Limping on it slightly she sighs and shakes her head, pulling up to keep weight off it she leans to her other side and looks back to Josh.
“Can’t take time off, can’t half ass it in the ring…” She shrugs slightly and tries to bear down on it again with the same limping result. “So maybe I can convince my body not to react to the pain or something, I don’t know…” Josh just laughs. “Yeah while you're at it why don't you tell water how to flow or maybe make ice in hell?” He shakes his head. “There is wrestling with pain and then there is being in pain when you wrestle.” He takes a small sip of his coffee. “You're the latter.” she throws her hands up in frustration “And what am I supposed to do? Listen to that stupid fucking physio who keeps talking about months of rehab, how I need to rest it?” she shakes her head quickly “I can’t do that… Tyson…” she sighs and shakes her head again, folding her arms over her chest “I can’t hit the submissions right if I can’t even rotate my damn ankle, I haven’t been taking punches for a while now…” she bites down on her jaw and huffs again. “I’ve worked through pain before, pushed past damn near death, so why the fuck should this stupid ankle injury be any different?!” her emotions boil over, cheeks turning red with frustration and the litany of curse words falling from her mouth exemplify that.
Josh shrugs his shoulders “You know, you're right. Why should it be?” Anderson then steps forward and onto Ally's injured ankle, putting a small amount of pressure against it. “Does that feel like any different kind of injury?” Ally yelps and shoves him back with a growl “WHAT THE FUCK JOSH?!” she shoves him again before backing off, throwing her hands on her head she turns away, holding her foot up to alleviate the pressure on her ankle as she tries to breathe through her anger. She lets out several long, steady breaths shaking her head; “Are you trying to fuck me up before I even get out there, you know it’s an injury, Jesus Fuck!” she still can’t look at him, her hands shaking on her head. “That's right, it's an injury. All I did was step on your ankle and you're out here throwing heel kicks.” He shakes his head and laughs.
“Did you even think to maybe… Tape it up? Or maybe put on a guard of some kind? I know it'll limit or restrict movement… Which it's supposed to but.” He sighs. “You are training stupid right now. You are training emotional and not thinking.” She sits down on the floor, looping her forearms under her knees and hangs her head down with a sigh “I tried taping it, doesn’t make any difference… I can’t even train lock half my moves with a guard and the boot makes me as graceful as a fucking cow.” she shakes her head still looking down. “You ever stop to think maybe I just don’t know what the fuck I am doing right now Josh? I’m not even a year into this industry yet and I’ve seen… I’ve been the reason for more bloodshed and injury than a lot of ten year fucking vets.” she sighs again and runs a hand through her hair. “Maybe the reality of what I did to people like Malone and Richards is setting in… Maybe this injury, the pain, it’s a punishment for all the fucked up shit I’ve done.” she sniffs, rubbing a hand down her cheek; “Ty talks about how I evolved and all this shit but, I haven’t… Because I’m still scared, I’m still...:” she pushes her hands down on the mat and drops her head again “Fuck just.. Forget it.”
Josh sips his coffee again before sitting next to her on the mats. “Maybe you're still what Ally?” His demeanor is cool and calm as he looks into her eyes. “Maybe I am still the sad little gypsy girl who breaks everything she touches… Even myself. Maybe that.” He nods his head, taking a moment to let her words sink in. “That's a lot of maybes right there. But do you know any of that? Because I know that you are more than that sad little gypsy girl that you could see glimpses of when you first came here.” He keeps his voice calm. “Just because you don't see it doesn't mean others don't. Let me ask you this, since you have been here, have you broken anything with this gym or with the bonds of the family here?” He shakes his head no. “Have you become a leader that the likes of Paz, Lilah and others look to as a proud and prime example of a badass woman in this sport?” He nods his head yes. “I know self doubt is big in your mind right now but you should know that no one else doubts you. So right now, Cochrane isn't beating you, you are beating yourself.”
Ally nods once, meeting his eyes with hers she lets out a small sigh “And what if I can’t shut those voices up? What if I go out there and my ankle turns, or it falters… I don’t know if I can do this Josh and the last thing I want to do, is let you, or Ty down...” she sniffs again letting out a small gasp as her breath hitches in her throat; “Every single day I wake up and a small part of me, it wonders if this is it… Is this the day that I lose it all? And every time I feel that pain in my ankle, the fear of losing this, losing him, it becomes closer and closer to a reality in my mind.” she stares into Josh’s eyes again and shakes her head “I told him I don’t need a break, that I won’t take one… I’ve already gone past just lying to myself, telling myself it’s all okay, now I’m lying to him too, every single time I say those words.” Josh nods his head. “Is Tyson marrying Ally Morrow the wrestler or is he marrying Allyson Morrow the love of his life?” Josh smiles to her. “He didn't start dating you because you're a wrestler. He didn't fall in love with you because of your streak. And he didn't ask you to marry him because you are unbreakable in the ring. He did all those in spite of all that.” Josh lets out a small sigh.
“This career gives and takes, I know that first hand. But the relationship and love that you two have? That's one in a million, that's the thing people spend their whole life looking for. Don't think for a second that Tyson would give up what he has in and with you.” she smiles as she looks up at him, she turns her ankle as she keeps her eyes on Josh “Then that’s what I’m fighting for right? The ability to WALK out of that arena towards that future because God knows if I can’t do it for myself… I will do it, for him.”
