I'm not even sure where to start, honestly. We need a thread for all of us to say what's in our hearts and on our minds though. We do. This fed deserves that. Robb deserves that. The rest of you handlers deserve that.
Mike, you're one of the closest friends I have in this hobby. You make me a better writer. It's the main reason why I've made you so involved with my characters and have had my characters so involved with yours. Your talent and imagination have no limits. Wherever you handle, they better watch out.
Greg, you pushed me to write as hard as I could, going all out in our PPV matches. I don't think anyone tapped into that part of me since I was in EXODUS two years ago. And you can make the argument that even that was surpassed by the challenge you laid out in front of me. I can't thank you enough for making me have to reach new heights to keep up with you. I really hope I have a "Greg" where I handle next.
Carly, you could have given anyone what you gave me. You could have also put yourself in a position where real life caught up and some joe smoe came in with a D+ and you couldn't show at all ended up getting it. But you could have given it to anyone on this roster. The fact you chose me and believed I deserved it, that humbled me. You truly are the opposite of your character. That heart of yours is made of pure gold, even if you don't understand Louisiana cuisine. I truly appreciate everything, and I hope we continue to have this awesome friendship as I handle Adam in your fed absolutely awfully. Part of me is stoked that's turning to angle, to be honest. Maybe my poor awkward character will stand a chance!
Hutch, we never got to write that RP I wanted to write to start things off. But the friendly rivalry we had and the comradery the characters had reminded me of Justin Brooks. If you all don't know, Justin is a handler from one of my first feds that I'm still friends with to this date where the characters of ours kept switching between ally and opponent. You'll have to take my word for it that when I say that, it is a huge honor. Thank you for what you've done for me in our rivalry. I had to have Adrien feud with someone not named Tyson Gregory at some point, right? And I'm glad it was you. The three of us would be Hall of Fame if Robb ever decided to make one. #StartToFinish
Melissa, we only interacted a little bit out of character. It was a lot more in-character stuff between us. But I know how much you busted your butt to make a lot things we had behind the scenes happen. You deserve the highest of praise for all the graphics and forum ninja skills you've done. I really hope our characters stay in touch because you're a class act. My evidence to support that: you never once asked for the praise I'm giving you. You hardly ever asked for credit for what every single one of us knew you did. So this is me giving you that. Thank you.
Chuck. If that is your real name (I know your real name, sir!!). This is our third fed together. Our paths ain't done yet. We ain't saying goodbye. I know you're gonna fed stalk me. I'll see you wherever we end up next. But I love you, man. You're a great dude and a hell of a handler.
Jas, part of me wonders if you're gonna end up reading this. Our journey is just beginning, but thank you for being one of the best damn writing partners I've ever had. It's a really short list of people from this hobby I speak to almost daily: you and Mike. When my dad passed away in December, it was you constantly checking up on me, even though you had only really known me for about two months. I could never thank you enough for going above and beyond for me, even if it was just writing stuff to get my mind off things. I treasure this new friendship of ours and am very excited about what happens in the next chapter. Thank you.
Dex/Lacklan, you've been absolutely fun to interact with on Twitter. That segment we did on this last show was spectacular and made me wish we did more stuff together. I hope I haven't seen the last of you, dude. You're talented and creative as all hell. Cheers for working more with one another in the future...I do have Adam in FAW.
Last but not least, the man who dragged me out of e-fedding retirement kicking and screaming. I'm not sure I would have responded to anyone else. Before you got me into Inferno, I thought my character's career was done. I thought I was done. Yeah, I came back, did an angled battle royal on the last EXODUS show, but I had no idea if I was ever going to be able to write again. But Mike told me to join Inferno. I did. I slowly started to get my groove back before real life made me leave a show or two before you shut that down. Then #FSociety came around. You bang on my door again. "Adrien, I'm opening a fed! Get your butt down here and start writing again!" I was hesitant. Do I still have what it takes to get to where I was at my peak at EXODUS? I didn't think I did. But I felt like you believed I could. And you let me run around this fed as one of only two of your heavyweight champions. You gave me hope in this hobby again, one that my last fedhead before Inferno literally drained from me and my very soul. So everything I accomplished here and any fed here after, it's because of you. So thank you, Robb. Thank you. I love you, man, and I hope this isn't our final time working with one another.
If I missed anyone else, I'll do another post. Everyone else, feel free to reply with your fond farewells.
Thank you,
Adrien L Cochrane
